Nature’s Retreat

Immerse yourself in the serenity of nature's embrace.

Sometimes, the best way to recharge is not through adventure but through stillness—by retreating into nature, where time slows down, the air is fresh, and the only sounds are the rustling trees and birdsong.

A true escape into nature allows you to unwind, breathe deeply, and restore your inner balance. Whether nestled in the mountains, by a quiet river, or in a secluded forest, this peaceful hideaway offers the perfect space to reset and reconnect with yourself.

Doi Inthanon

Chiang Mai

A Walk Through the Cloud Forest

Breathe in the crisp mountain air at Thailand’s highest point—Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai—rising 2,565 meters above sea level. Cool and refreshing all year round, this iconic peak is a beloved escape for nature lovers seeking serenity and a clean, invigorating atmosphere.

While the nearby Ang Ka Nature Trail is well-known, we recommend another hidden gem: a short walking path from the Visitor Center to the memorial stupa of Chao Inthawichayanon, the last Sovereign of Chiang Mai.

Though brief and easy to follow, the trail is surrounded by towering trees draped in lush moss and lichen, creating a living, breathing cloud forest. Every step offers a sense of renewal, making this a peaceful and enriching experience in the heart of the highlands.

This short trail follows an old mountain road, stretching only about 2 kilometers from the Doi Pui parking area to the mountain’s summit. Though officially a nature study trail, its gentle slope and well-maintained path make it an easy walk—an enjoyable activity suitable for all ages.

Lined with tall pine trees on both sides, the trail exudes a serene and refreshing atmosphere, especially in the early morning when golden sunlight filters through the treetops or when a soft white mist wraps the forest in quiet beauty.

More than just a light hike, this trail offers a meditative journey—one that calms the mind and allows us to pause, breathe, and listen to the quiet voice of nature within ourselves.
